SOAC' s Benefit Concert

SOAC's BENEFIT CONCERT WAS HUGE SUCCESS!

U.U.Metro Atlanta Church North hosted the Friends With You Band benefit concert, performing the timeless music of the legendary John Denver. The proceeds of this concert helped ensure that some participants attending Spirit of a Child's Parent-Child Project 2007 EARTHcamp were able to fully live the experience of our Foundation's mission; which is to strengthen the bonds between parents and their children.

The band played to a PACKED audience filled with high energy! The guys in the Friends With You Band performed John’s music in the spirit of sharing John’s message. Each of the four musicians brought their own special gift of talent to the evening. Paul Swanton, the lead guitar player, was extremely talented and precise. Kevin Delmolino, an accomplished bass player and soaring harmony singer, who has performed professionally in both the rock and folk world was the anchor that kept the band tight. Mark Cormican sang lead and harmony and played a variety of percussion instruments. His live performance was accompanied by his engaging sense of humor. Chris Collins also sang lead and harmonies. He played guitar, banjo, and a few other instruments. Chris’s constant smile and gentle voice mesmerized the audience! When these guys were up on stage, the audience was overwhelmed with the incredible experience of talent and spirit! All the band members were sincere and engaging. Though John Denver is gone, his spirit of joy lived in every person who saw this performance by the Friends With You Band.
