For those of you who live in the cold and snow areas, the children are just waiting for that first nice day that they can get outside and ride their bikes, fly a kite, rollerblade, etc.
In preparation for that "big day", parents and children should sit down and discuss what activity their child (children) are most looking forward to doing on that first nice day.
Have them draw a picture of it, or make a small kite for them out of construction paper to fly around the house.
Play charades and have them "act out" what they are doing on their first day outside in the nice weather.
Have a picnic in the living room, with only non-staining items of course!
There is alot to do on those cold winter days. Use your imagination and your child's imagination !
And for those of you who live in the warmth year round- do the opposite and figure out what you would do if you were stuck inside and couldn't go outside. What could you do in the snow ?
